Sailing Instructions for the Summer Series I are located in the 2020 Skippers Guide.
For Summer Series I, J24's will race and be sccored in Class B. This is in compliance with USI 8.5.
The North Sails Summer Series I will start Wednesday May 27th with first start at 18:15. We will start Classes A, B (including J24's which will start with B Class, and not at 18:00 as listed below), C and D. D Class will be the first start, followed by A, B and C. The starting and finishing lines will be between an orange mark and a flag on the RC Committee boat just off of the Carolina YC dock. Scoring will be via the PHRF Time-on-Time method. Please note that the Carolina YC will not accommodate the picking up or dropping off of crew at their dock. Also note there will not be an organized after-race awards event at the Charleston YC, as they are restricting access to members only for now. We will post results on the CORA website Results Page on Wednesday night and on CORA Facebook Thursday morning. Further notifications will be posted here. Consistent with COVID-19 practices, each skipper is responsible for ensuring safe practices. Please contact Rear Commodore Charlie Lent with questions.
